Art surrounds us. Found within a product or process, or even human interaction, art curates a lens of how we perceive and understand the world we live in. I create work with this mentality. I create with the intention of storytelling across various mediums, but most prominently, ceramics. I construct forms that suggest unity and reflection by relating the conceptual process of creation to universal human experiences. I am intrigued by the balance and duality of structure throughout the drying process, from the flexibility and vulnerability of wet clay to the strength of ceramic once fired to temperature. I create forms that suggest unity and reflection by relating the conceptual process of creation to universal human experiences. There is realness within the process of clay making. Not every aspect can be controlled. Not every dream comes true. But the ones that do, are remarkable.
