Charlotte Calautti

My artistic work ranges from a variety of mediums and materials. I love photography, painting and drawing to create bright contrast and emotion in my work. I like being able to use art to express myself by creating pieces that embody me in that moment. While my work is a diverse collection, my thoughts all range from the same idea. Using art as creative expression is a therapeutic process by itself. With this, I use the key idea of focusing on the process, not the project. This is important to remember as an Art Therapist and in life. If we focus more on how we grow, discover, and learn through obstacles, this makes us better artists and people. In doing so, I feel that I can connect with myself and others more by using art to facilitate creativity. My work is an embodiment of myself and my emotions to display my growth as an artist, aspiring therapist, and an individual.
