Lesson Plan #1: Roberto Lugo Vessel Drawings
Students learned about artist and Philadelphia local Roberto Lugo. They then were to draw a "special vessel" in their home and draw the portrait of someone meaningful to them on their vessel to create a drawing inspired by Roberto Lugo.
Lesson Plan #2: Path Tool Self Portrait
Students were introduced to the "path tool" while working on their self-portrait assignments. They used a website called sketch.io to create these self portraits.
Lesson Plan #3: Ideal World Digital Collage
For this assignment, students were to brainstorm what their "ideal world" would look like. They could get as creative as they wanted and add any sort of fun details to their perfect world that they wanted. Students their world as a digital collage on Google Drawing.
Lesson Plan #4: You Starter Kit Digital Collages
Students learned about the art of digital collage and created their own collages inspired by themselves. Students were to think about things that represented them: whether that be their favorite foods/shows/animals, etc.
Lesson Plan #5: WPA Poster Project
For this project, students were to create their own WPA Posters with a modern spin. Students thought about what issues were important to them, and created their own "Public Service Announcements" to bring awareness to their chosen topic.
