What are you doing now (life, work, grad school) and how did your time at Tyler help you prepare?
Currently, I'm in grad school. I'm getting my Master's in Public Health at NYU, with a concentration in Public Health Nutrition, and I'm studying to become a Registered Dietician. I'm working with my university in nutrition education technology, building and improving education platforms for the university. I'm about to start assisting in researching nutrition epidemiology in disabled women who are pregnant or trying to conceive, which I'm super excited about!
What are you most proud of in your life or work today?
I'm most proud of developing a strong sense of self. I don't feel the need to have a certain job or type of life, which took a lot of inner work. I see my peers on social media and I'm happy for them and I'm proud of them, and I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong because I'm living my life differently than a lot of them. I was encouraged in the VS program to contribute my ideas because they had value, and I'm grateful for that support because I can have difficult conversations and appreciate criticism without my self-worth wavering.
