“When I create art, my first thoughts are to gather inspiration. I often seek out references from other characters as well as artists to influence my style of art, and I enjoy putting my own creative spin to my creative process. Through my collage art, I am able to reflect on my own emotions by making each piece a personal narrative in some form. The organized chaos of my works captures how structured I felt in the moment, while the imagery I choose to implement in my pieces tells a personal narrative from my life. Art is a healing treatment in which we simultaneously discover and lose ourselves throughout the process. In its natural form, I believe art plays the role of both meditation and comfort. It is a silent language in which we communicate with others in a variety of ways.”
