“My process is informed by my connection to touch and process. I have been impacted by how time can mutate my experience with a medium. I enjoy exploring different mediums with an analytic, sensory approach to how they change as I interact with them. My own experiences with art-making have created a framework for how I understand community and healing. I have learnt so much about people, place and process through my art and I continue to find more to engage with and learn from.”

Art Therapy ‘24
Paloma is a senior art therapy major and art educator. She spent most of her life in California where she discovered her connection to painting and has since connected to a variety of mediums. Most of her artwork, and interest in art therapy, is informed by her multicultural heritage. Living in different spaces and cultures has taught her about the importance of expression as a form of connection. Moving forward, she would like to explore how art can help us communicate and heal; especially how this can be explored within systems of education and healthcare.
