Special thanks to Ms. Lam for all her support this school year.

We as a school community have gone through so many changes, like figuring out how to have art class virtually. It has been challenging, but I have been lucky to have gotten through this far with such an insightful, creative and dedicated group of young people. This is why I am honored to highlight 5th grade. We have done so much together, from sharing who we are through collage or understanding the art element space to create an artwork that is "larger than life." We also learned about the art movement surrealism and practiced one-point perspective to make a surrealistic room. We continued growing our drawing skills through hatching and cross-hatching. We learned about the art term diptych and the word Trompe l'Oeil. These young people make our art space, and I am so grateful for the laughs and art time we share. Thank you, 5th grade!
