Lesson Plan #1: 9th Grade: Visual Expression
This art lesson was inspired by Moe Brooker, a Philadelphia based artist, who creates abstract expressionist paintings influenced by music. 8th and 7th grade students explored the relationship between art and music by picking a song of their choice, specifically a song that is important to them or their favorite song at the moment. Students then created digital drawings, using colors, shapes, and lines, to visually express how their song makes them feel.
