Sophie Shields is a senior Art Therapy student at Temple University. Her goal is to pursue a career as an art therapist and maintain a strong relationship with her artwork throughout her life. She found that through portraiture, she was able to learn about herself and explore how expressions dictate our lives. Her time as an Art Therapy student has helped her understand the impact of community growth and the ways in which art acts as a healer. She hopes that she can soon use this newfound knowledge to help others throughout their own lives.
