The Ceremony of Innocence

Cassandra Jasulevicz

This work explores anxiety culture and feelings of being overwhelmed. Created in-part as a response to the current worldwide public health crisis, political instability, and the looming threat of global environmental catastrophe, this piece seeks to compare the physical stress hot glass undergoes when exposed to cold water to the state of the body and mind when being constantly barraged by a never-ending cycle of seemingly uncontrollable societal shortcomings.
