Art has always been an outlet. It is in the act of making that soothes the soul yet aggravates it to be more. Through making, I have become more self aware and have deepened my relationship with not only myself, but the world around me, it gives me purpose. I have come to know art not as something to make perfect but as something to devote to. I devote my time to making with the sheer love of the craft. I struggle with her not so uniquely just as others have before me but our love is just as pure as theirs has been. My time with art recently has helped me process the past few years, my past, and helped me reconcile my relationship with myself and her.

Art Therapy ‘23
Ella is a senior art therapy major and multidimensional artist. She grew up in Delaware County and currently resides there. Her favorite mediums include drawing, painting, and collage but has experimented with so much more. Her community that she has created and been fostered in is the backbone to her creative practice, without the support from family, past teachers/professors, and friends she would not be where she is today. She plans on taking a few years off to recharge, work, and create before taking her next steps in her educational career.
