Katy McCarthy
My art represents themes of my past, present, and future. I believe that art is a tool that can help me understand myself and the world around me. Often my work shows imagery of flowers which is something I have been painting since I was young. Flowers have always intrigued me by their individual beauty and their ability to bloom after it rains. My recent works show nostalgia for childhood. I believe that my art helps me reconnect with the purest form of expression that I had as a child. Through my work in Art Therapy, I hope to inspire people to get in touch with their creative childlike self.
