Not only is art a practice for me, but it is also a way of being. It is how I expand upon and better understand my experiences and existence throughout the journey of life. It gives me courage to express myself freely when I find it difficult to do so in other ways. I focus on exploring themes related to the mind. The mind is a very overwhelming and confusing place. There is darkness, light, and everything in between; complex and unrepeatable in each living being. The mind is also supple, it bends to withstand strong winds and adverse weather, it never breaks. I consider it to be the most beautiful thing we own. The inside of my own mind is exactly what I present in visual form.

Art Therapy ‘23
Art has always been my favorite thing to learn and explore. Throughout all my years in school, I have been the most motivated in my art classes and have known that it will always be part of my life. Going into college allowed me to learn the more therapeutic approach to art, and it has inspired me greatly. Each passing year my art has progressed the more I learned. I have grown more and more hopeful that I will someday make an impact combining the worlds of art and therapy.
